web site, MassStats.com, offers a variety of statistical data
about Massachusetts cities and towns.
MassStats.com offers the public a one-stop resource for seeing a wide
variety of public data. The data were collected from a variety of sources,
and have been categorized to make it easy to find the statistical
information that you are looking for. Data available on MassStats.com
includes housing data (such as home prices and building permits), education
data (such as SAT scores and per pupil expenditures), crime data (such as
auto theft rates), demographic data (including income and population),
political data (including recent election results), and health data (such as
cancer and lead poisoning rates).
The data are all presented with user-friendly maps. You simply choose from a
menu the information that you would like to see, and a color-coded map of
cities and towns is displayed. You can use tools to zoom in and out on the
maps. You can also click on a city or town to see specific data for that
community in a table.
