- Menus: list all the commands
- Toolbar: buttons for frequently used commands
- Toolboxes: contain tools for general and specific needs
The menus contain most of the commands, and the toolbars for each type of window
contain commands you will use often, plus a drop-down list to control the working layer of
a map, the selection set for a dataview, or the scale of a layout.
When you are doing map editing, contouring, routing, and other tasks, there are special
toolboxes for each. There is also a main toolbox for maps and layouts with many handy
tools for changing the scale, adding freehand items, and doing other things.
There are many context-sensitive menus, which are the quickest way to access the most
common commands. As you use Maptitude, try clicking in different places to see what the
context-sensitive menus have to offer. |
