- Work with geographic files in a multi-user environment
- Uses tabular data directly
- Show multimedia and other files associated with map features
Many users can view the same geographic files at the same time, and you can even have
multiple users editing a geographic file simultaneously. This helps your group use the
latest data available.
Rather than importing tables and working with a copy, Maptitude opens many common file
formats directly, such as dBASE files, and opens many others indirectly via Open Datatbase
Connectivity (ODBC), a Windows standard for accessing tabular data.
Maptitude makes it easy to attach all kinds of information to features on a map. By
placing the correct information in a geographic file, you can link map features to
pictures, video, or sound files, or to sites on the World Wide Web. Maptitude also lets
you link individual map features to Microsoft Office documents, such as Word or Excel
files or any other file that you can open from the Windows Explorer or other file manager. |
