2.16 Working with Layers: Changing a Map's Layers
  • Click Layers for the Layers dialog box

Maptitude allows you to add layers to or remove layers from a map, change the order in which the layers are drawn, hide a layer temporarily without removing it from a map, and make a hidden layer visible again. You make all these changes using the Layers dialog box:

To do this...   Do this...                 
Add a layer Click Add Layer, choose one or more geographic files from the File Open dialog box, and click OK.
Remove a layer Click on the layer or layers you want to remove, and then click Drop Layer.
Draw a layer earlier Click on the layer or layers you want to draw earlier, and then click Move Up.
Draw a layer later Click on the layer or layers you want to draw later, and then click Move Down.
Hide a layer Click on the layer or layers you want to hide, and then click Hide Layer.
Show a layer Click on the hidden layer or layers you want to show, and then click Show Layer.
