When you use automatic labels, you let Maptitude decide exactly which features should be labeled and where the labels should be placed. You set up some ground rules, including the font and style that should be used for labels, whether labels can overlap, which labels have the highest priority, and how should labels be aligned. Each time the map is drawn, Maptitude displays the most effective combination of labels according to the rules you set.
