3.8 Creating Pattern Themes
  • Choose Map-Pattern Theme for Pattern Theme dialog box
  • Same as Color Theme except uses series of patterns rather than of colors to distinguish classes
  • Can use color and pattern themes together for bivariate themes

A bivariate theme uses one field to control the color and another to control the pattern, so that you can show the interrelationship of two fields as a theme.
