4.12 EXERCISE: Opening and Arranging a Dataview
  • Choose File-Close All to close any open windows.
  • Choose File-Open or click Open on the toolbar.
  • Choose Fixed-format Binary from the Files of Type drop-down list.
  • Choose the fixed-format binary file MTWORLD.BIN in the Maptitude\Tutorial folder.
  • Click Open. Maptitude displays a dataview for the countries of the world.
  • Use:
    • Scroll bars to move around
    • Arrow keys to move to adjacent field or record
    • PgUp/PgDn to move to previous/next pages
    • Tab/Shift-Tab to move to pages to right/left
    • Home/End to move to first/last fields
    • Ctrl-Home/Ctrl-End to move to first/last records
