EXERCISE: Sorting Records
Select the Population field.
Click
on the toolbar to sort the records by population.
Choose
Edit-Preferences
, then click the Dataviews tab, and change the sort order to Highest to Lowest.
Do the sort again on Population. What country has the largest Population?
Highlight the [Life Expectancy] column.
Choose
Dataview-Sort
.
Click the radio button to change the sort order from the preferred order to Ascending.
Add the Name field to the sort order, and change the sort order to Ascending.
Click OK. Maptitude sorts the records, first by life expectancy, then by country for those with the same life expectancy.
