Dataviews
4.21 EXERCISE: Editing Data in a Dataview
  • Click on the [My Field] column heading.
  • Choose Edit-Fill.
  • Choose the Sequence radio button.
  • Type "3" for the start value and "3" for the step value.
  • Click OK. Maptitude replaces the column with 3, 6, 9, etc.
  • Choose Dataview-Formula Fields or click Formula Field on the toolbar.
  • Choose [My_Field] from the Field List drop-down list.
  • Choose - (minus sign) from the Operator List drop-down list.
  • Choose [Real_Numbe] from the Field List drop-down list.
  • Type "Subtraction" as the new formula field name.
  • Click OK. Maptitude adds the formula field to the dataview.
  • Choose File-Close to close the dataview.
