You select features directly from the map using the selection
tools in the main toolbox. When you select features by drawing a rectangle, circle, or
shape, Maptitude finds the features that are completely contained within the shape
you define*.
- Select by Pointing
tool: Click on a
single feature, or drag a rectangle to select all features inside the rectangle.
- Select by Circle
tool: Drag a circle to
select all features inside the circle, or click at the center of the circle and type the
radius.
- Select by Shape
tool: Draw an area to
select all features located inside the area. Click on each corner of the area, and
double-click to close it.
- Clear Selection
tool: Clear the selection
set so that no features are selected.
- Hold the Shift key while using selection tools to add features to the selection set.
- Hold the Ctrl key while using selection tools to remove features from the selection set.
*If you want to include features that are partially contained in your
selection set, choose Edit-Preferences, select the Map tab, and choose
Select Features that are Touching from the radio list. |
