6.17 EXERCISE:
Creating a Prism Map
|
- Choose Window-Map1 - U.S.
Counties to make it the current window.
- Use the Zoom tools or the Edit-Find
command to find your home state.
- Choose Map-Prism Map to
display the Prism Map Properties dialog box.
- Choose Population from the Field
drop-down list.
- Click OK. Maptitude displays a
prism map in a new window.
- Right click on the prism map and
choose Properties to display the Prism Map Properties dialog
box.
- Type a header and a footnote in
those edit boxes.
- Click the Options tab and check
Show Legend.
- Change the vertical and viewing
angles and click Apply. Maptitude redraws the prism map with the new settings.
- Click the Font tab and choose
another font from the Font drop-down list.
- Click the Styles tab and click the
Color Ramp radio button.
- Click Next Set>> or
<<Previous Set to find an attractive color ramp.
- Click OK. Maptitude redraws the
prism map with the new colors.
