- Items can be aligned relative to
each other:
- Horizontally: left edges, centers, or right edges
- Vertically: top edges, centers, or bottom edges
- Spread out horizontally or vertically
- Items can be aligned relative to
the page:
- Centered left to right (horizontally) on the page
- Centered top to bottom (vertically) on the page
- Items can be ordered relative to
each other:
- Pulled to front, to draw on top of others
- Pushed to back, to draw behind others
You can also duplicate layout items. These commands are also available on the
context-sensitive menu that is displayed when you click the right mouse button on
annotations in a layout.
When you use the Edit-Align command or the alignment tools on the
toolbar, items are aligned with respect to the first one you selected.
When you use the Edit-Arrange command or the arrange tools on the
toolbar, the spacing between items is normally set to one-quarter inch. You can change the
default spacing of layout items using the Edit-Preferences command. |
