2015 Released for the U.S. With the Most
Up-To-Date Data
Maptitude 2015 is a major release of Caliper's
popular
mapping software. Maptitude 2015 provides a
wealth of the latest available data for business
applications, as well as significantly enhanced
analytical and reporting capabilities.
The U.S. Census boundaries (e.g.,
Tracts, Counties, Metropolitan Areas,
States) and ZIP Codes contain
updated demographics and the latest
Census data such as buying
power/disposable income. Maptitude 2015
also comes standard with the January
2015 ZIP Code release. This nationwide
postal data is updated with business
counts, employees, and payroll numbers
by detailed industry type (retail,
finance, etc.) Maptitude 2015 includes
an up to date road map that allows for
accurate address locating and street
visualization, as well as robust data on
which to calculate distances and travel
times, drive-time zones, and drive-time
territories.

ensure regulatory compliance using the

Improvements in speed provide faster
access to maps, routes, drive-time
rings, and geographic analysis. Address
lists can be automatically mapped using
a comprehensive suite of "locate"
methods, allowing users to
instantaneously view more data than ever
before. Microsoft Office Excel data
exports are accessible via a single
click for the direct sharing of
demographics and customer information.
Maptitude continues to support the
latest mapping tools and file formats,
with additional support for Google Maps,
Microsoft MapPoint, and Excel.

States with
the Largest Population Growth Since 2010 (USA)
Using Maptitude 2015
How has population growth varied
across the US? This map, made with
Maptitude 2015, shows the total and percentage
change in population by State.
The map uses thematic mapping in the
form of a chart and a color/heat map. The
color of the states represents the
percentage change in population. A pie chart theme
shows the absolute value of the
population change with the size being proportional to
the associated data.
The map illustrates that Puerto Rico,
Rhode Island, and Maine lost population,
which can be attributed to the economies
of those regions. The largest states
(i.e. California, Texas, and Florida)
had the largest gains, but North Dakota
had the largest percentage gain driven
by the booming energy sector.
Maptitude includes an extensive database
of demographics at no additional
charge. The demographics include the
variables featured here, along with
additional data that is useful when
mapping growth such as estimates and
projections for 2015 and 2020 down to
the Tract level. This local level detail
allows for the target marketing of

Automatically Map My Data Using the
Locate Tools in Maptitude 2015?
 In
Maptitude 2015, your locations can be
automatically mapped to the next best
level of accuracy so that you can
instantaneously map more data. A new
Locate Wizard maps unfound locations and
produces a report that indicates the
method used to place each pushpin. The
Locate Wizard allows you to spend more
time analyzing your data and less time
figuring out how to get your information
into a map.
For example, if you want to restrict
your pin-mapping to address matches in
order to ensure the highest level of
accuracy and you also prefer Maptitude
to automatically apply the full suite of
address rules at its disposal, now you
can.
