Receptionist

Full time position at our headquarters: 1172 Beacon Street, Newton MA 02461 USA

Description:

Caliper seeks an outgoing and organized receptionist with good communication skills. The receptionist will perform a variety of activities and operate in several different and often overlapping roles. As a receptionist, you will be responsible for carrying out various front-line tasks and, to a lesser degree, for providing direct support to our highly educated professional staff. In our busy office, you will be responding to emails through our customer-relations-management (CRM) system, phone coverage, office maintenance, and the preparation and shipping of our software products.

Qualifications:

  • Handle calls for all Caliper employees and customers calling into the Operator, Technical Support, and Sales lines
  • Receive sales and support requests via email, chat, or other online forms
  • Direct customers to appropriate staff according to company procedure and policy
  • Create Sales and Support tickets in the CRM
  • Record reception and office workflows, any limitations, and how these processes could be improved, and enter these into the CRM
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer contact and contract information
  • Assist with projects and other work tasks required to meet business needs

Responsibilities:

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment and ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to think creatively in order to further develop the position and processes
  • Minimum typing speed of 45 wpm
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Recommended qualifications:

  • A minimum of one year of experience working in a professional office environment
