Temporary Files

Maptitude creates many temporary files while it is running. Regardless of whether you use a local or shared installation, these files are stored in the following locations:

If the system environment variable TEMP or TMP is defined, Maptitude creates a MAPTITUDE folder in the temporary folder pointed to by TEMP (or TMP).
You can override the TEMP/TMP variable by setting a CALIPER_TEMP variable which will then be used instead.
If none of these environment variables are defined, Maptitude will try to create a MAPTITUDE folder in the user application data folder.

Maptitude automatically removes all temporary files in the MAPTITUDE folder when the program starts and when the program ends.
