Selecting Features from a Map Window
Use the Select by Map Window command to select all of the visible features in a layer. When working with a point layer, all of the points that are visible in a map window will be added to the selection set. When working with a line or area layer, all of the features that are entirely or partially visible in the map window will be added to the selection set. Any features that were already in the selection set will remain selected, regardless of whether or not they are visible in the map window.
To Select the Visible Features in a Map Window
- Choose the layer whose features you want to select from the drop-down list on the Standard toolbar or by right-clicking on the layer in the Display Manager and choosing Make Working Layer.
