Web Developer/Software Developer Job Openings

Caliper is seeking talented software developers/engineers to design, develop, test and maintain state-of-the-art web-based GIS/geospatial and transportation applications.

Working at Caliper, you will be part of a small, expert software development team. You will participate in the complete application life-cycle from design to development to application release and maintenance. 

Desired Skills and Experience

• BS or MS Degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• Solid experience in client-side web development, including HTML, CSS, and Javascript frameworks (e.g.: Jquery, Dojo)
• Knowledge of Javascript drawing and web mapping frameworks (e.g., RaphaelJS, Canvas, SVG, OpenLayers, Google Map and Google Earth, Bing, ESRI).
• Solid experience in server-side development, including C#, the .NET framework, C++, Java.
•  Working knowledge of SQL, LINQ, database programming.
•  Expertise in programming best practices including object-oriented design, version control, testing, and debugging in both browser and server environments
• Knowledge of computational geometry, operations research, 2D and 3D graphics programming, game programming, GIS/geospatial databases, or distributed and cloud-based computing would be a plus.
•  Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
