Can I publish redistricting plans and other maps and data on the
Internet or my intranet?
There are two ways you can publish redistricting
plans and other maps and data on the Internet and your intranet. The
simplest way is to choose
Redistricting-Plan Utilities-Publish Plan to HTML. Maptitude for
Redistricting turns the plan map and Districts dataview into static HTML
page that you can publish on your web site. A better way is to create
interactive web applications where the user can zoom the map to any
location and display the relevant information. Caliper has an
easy-to-use and cost-effective solution called
Maptitude for the Web.
Maptitude for the Web is a special edition of
Maptitude Geographic Information System (GIS) software. Maptitude for
the Web includes all of the regular capabilities of Maptitude, plus
special capabilities that make it easy to design, test and publish
interactive map applications on your web site.
Web applications are created from a Maptitude map
and a Mapplication® (application template). Maptitude for the Web
provides a special user interface that lets you combine a Maptitude map
with a Mapplication to create a dynamic web application. Maptitude for
the Web applications can be implemented as independent, interactive map
applications, or they can be embedded within an existing web application
to support end-user mapping requirements. Once created, Maptitude for
the Web applications can be published on a server to be accessed by
users on your organization’s intranet or on the World Wide Web
