Drew Smith

Drew Smith is a Senior GIS Specialist with two decades of expertise in geospatial analysis, mapping solutions, and technical support. At Caliper Corporation, where he has served since 2014, Drew works closely with clients to understand their GIS and mapping needs, import and prepare datasets, and produce high‑quality visualizations — including healthcare, real estate, ZIP Code, and demographic maps. His background also includes developing custom workflows, enhancing data integration processes, and helping organizations leverage mapping technologies to inform decision‑making.

Before joining Caliper, Drew built a strong foundation in geospatial work through roles in technical GIS sales at Cansel and as a GIS Manager at Terra Engineering. Across these positions, he contributed to municipal and natural resource projects, designed maps and base data, managed field inventories, and conducted advanced analyses such as congestion surveys and response‑time modeling for first responders. Drew holds an Advanced Diploma in GIS from Vancouver Island University, and a bachelor's degree in Geography from Indiana University
