Marketing Assistant

Full time position at our headquarters: 1172 Beacon Street, Newton MA 02461 USA

Description:

Caliper seeks a Marketing Assistant. The Marketing Assistant will collaborate with colleagues throughout the company to design and produce marketing and event materials, coordinate conferences and trainings, build relationships with customers through the management of support and maintenance contracts, review contract proposals and bids, and assist with advertising and social media efforts. On-the-job training is available, with good prospects for promotion.

Qualifications:

  • Use your creativity to develop, manage, and execute strategic marketing outreach
  • Partner with internal staff to support the successful planning and execution of focused campaigns, brand building activities, and industry relations campaigns
  • Support the reaching of marketing and sales objectives (lead generation, branding, awareness, education)
  • Coordinate events, including offsite and in-house trainings, meetings, and events
  • Participate in multi-divisional teams
  • Serve as point of contact for support and contract renewals, event coordinators and attendees, and for customers in general
  • Maintain inventory of event-related materials
  • Strong decision-making, problem resolution, and creative thinking skills
  • Ability to translate technically complex concepts into simple and compelling messages that effectively communicate business value

Responsibilities:

  • Excellent verbal communications and writing skills for internal and external audiences
  • Highly organized, strongly self-motivated, with the ability to multi-task activities with shifting priorities
  • Ability to make quick decisions before, during, and post-event based on unexpected circumstances
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Access, Outlook, and Excel
  • Ability to reset rooms (tables /chairs) as needed (30-40 pounds)
  • Strong teambuilding, collaborative, written and verbal communication, and organizational skills
  • Bachelor's degree
