Caliper has been awarded a five-year prime contract with a $10 million ceiling to provide technical services to support the efforts of U.S. DOT's Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Office of Planning in improving transportation planning in the United States.

Caliper has worked with FHWA for more than a decade creating the HEPGIS web site, developing an accessibility toolkit for transportation planners, implementing dynamic traffic models for assessing CAV impacts, and developing methods and software for making use of the Freight Analysis Framework data on nationwide commodity flows.
