NEWTON, MA (USA) - Caliper Corporation is pleased to announce that Dr. Wuping Xin, P.E. has joined the firm as Chief Technology Officer. Dr. Xin is an international authority on traffic signal systems with two decades of experience as an innovative traffic engineer and software developer.
He has extensive experience in traffic modeling analysis and simulation, ITS system integration, and real-time traffic signal optimization and a deep knowledge of traffic control hardware, ITS, and connected vehicle standards. He is an accomplished software developer, an expert in modern C++ and a member of the ISO C++ Programming Language Committee. Dr. Xin also serves as Co-Chair of Transportation Research Board's Traffic Signal Control System (ACP25) Signal Timing Subcommittee.
In his distinguished career, Dr. Xin has led the development of several software systems with real-world impacts, including solutions for emergency evacuation planning, connected vehicle cyber security analysis, adaptive traffic signal control, and dynamic congestion pricing.
