The Clashing Channel Scan Add-In provides the ability to quickly show Co
and Adjacent Interference in cellular phone communication networks. This
tool is specifically designed to work with sector layers created with the Sectorization
Add-In.
To install:*
- Download and install a
free trial of Maptitude mapping software, or use your own
license of desktop Maptitude.
- Download the file
clashing-channel-scan-addin.exe.
- Open the file or choose the Run command from the Start menu, and
browse to the clashing-channel-scan-addin.exe file in the folder where you
downloaded the file.
- Click OK and follow the step-by-step instructions to install the
add-in.
*The Clashing Channel Scan add-in works only with
latest version of Maptitude
To Use the Clashing Channel Scan Add-in:
- Open a map that contains a sectors layer created with the
Sectorization Add-In. Make this layer the
working layer.
- Choose Tools>GIS Developer's Kit>Add-Ins
and click Clashing Channel Scan to open the Clashing Channel Scan dialog
box.
- Choose the field that contains the antenna channel
value in the drop-down list.
- Enter a channel number in the Channel
to scan edit box.
- Click Scan. Maptitude will show all
sectors that are in the channel you chose (N) in red, all sectors
that are in the above channel (N+1) in blue, and all sectors that are
in the below channel (N-1) in green.
- Click Close to close the Clashing Channel
Scan dialog box. You will be prompted to choose whether or not
to keep the colors that you just applied.
