Maptitude for Redistricting is used by a supermajority of those responsible for congressional redistricting! In 2023, the Supreme Court affirmed the federal trial court's ruling that Alabama's map violated the Voting Rights Act. The state redrew it. In May 2025, a federal panel ruled the new map still violated the VRA and found discriminatory intent. The maps below compare Alabama's original 2021 congressional districts with the 2023 plan enacted by the Alabama Legislature. The Supreme Court has allowed Alabama to use its 2023 redrawn map for the 2026 elections while litigation continues.
