Maptitude for Redistricting is used by a supermajority of those responsible for congressional redistricting! The Supreme Court ruled in 2023 that Alabama's map violated the Voting Rights Act. The state redrew it. In May 2025, a federal panel ruled the new map still violated the VRA and found discriminatory intent. The Supreme Court has allowed Alabama to use the disputed 2023 map for the 2026 election while litigation continues. Below are maps comparing the original districts with the court-ordered districts.
