The ZIP Code data contained on the disc work with the latest versions of Caliper's Maptitude mapping software and TransCAD transportation planning software.

Included with the January 2013 ZIP Code (USA) data are nationwide 3-digit and 5-digit ZIP Code areas and a point database of ZIP Code centroids for all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the territories. Caliper updates this file quarterly to provide up-to-date access to United States Postal Service changes.
The ZIP Code data product comes with 2010 Census, 2011 American Community Survey (ACS), and 2009 ZIP Code Business Patterns data at no additional cost. Included with both the 3-digit and 5-digit ZIP Code area layers are 97 fields of Census data describing population, age, gender, households, and housing units and 311 fields of ACS data describing income, race, ethnicity, occupation, education, language spoken, marital status, travel mode, housing units, and housing value. Also included are 24 fields of ZIP Code Business Patterns data with number of businesses by detailed industry type, number of employees, and annual payrolls. The ZIP Codes are also classified by their rural-urban commuting characteristics.
