Filtering a Field List

You can filter your fields/columns by clicking on the drop-down list and typing several letters. Only fields containing the text you enter will display in the drop-down list.

The characters are underlined as you type them.

For example, to filter out a field in a dataview you can follow these steps:

1. Right click on your layer of choice in the Display Manager
   and choose New Dataview.
2. Choose Edit>Find. Click to expand the Field list.
3. Type “Population”. The field list is filtered.
4. Choose one of the population fields and Click OK.
   Maptitude highlights the field chosen.
